NORTH PATHS, flat - wide - unique

Enjoyable hiking the North German way. Hiking is the ideal way to explore and enjoy the Rotenburg (Wümme) district at any time of the year. On foot through nature! Be one with nature. You can breathe deeply and relax in good air and natural silence. In winter, when the snow covers the landscape completely in white, in spring, with the lush green of the meadows and trees, in summer, when the cornflowers bloom or in autumn during the “Indian Summer” in the forests. The undulating ups and downs of the Geest, the diverse landscape and the numerous museum facilities guarantee variety. The lack of steep climbs makes hiking a leisurely pleasure. Let yourself be fascinated by the unique nature of our region. The quality of the NORDPFADE also promises the highest level of hiking enjoyment!

The light breeze, the flat land, the wide views and the North German silence - this is how hiking on the northern paths near Rotenburg (Wümme) between Bremen and Hamburg can best be described. Here you will find an oasis of northern German serenity, without any hustle and bustle and without any mountains. Between moor, forest and heath, the Dör't Moor north path makes its way over 10.3 km, past the Großer Bullensee, a small observation tower with a view over the moor landscape or a picnic area in the countryside, which can be accessed from the local area by prior arrangement Delicacies can be covered. The views out into the countryside are also beautiful, where there is no hill or mountain to the horizon to block your view and your thoughts can wander far, far into the distance. Only now and then, and with a bit of luck, will a deer hop across the path, a trumpeting crane glide in the sky or a frog jump croaking cheerfully through its wet realm.
